Here Is The Ficus Tree Now

What a difference, it went from a bare twig to a small tree in only 3 years.  That may seem like a long time to some but considering how it started I am surprised it even made it this far.

It stands a little over 42", I measured from the base (pot not included).  I am focusing on getting it bushy. I am not sure how to do that, I would like to get another one started and plant it next to this one but I do not want to cut any branches off this one, the poor thing has been through enough.  I would go steal some from my mother-in-law but hers is not looking good. And, it is a little late in year to do that.  Maybe next year I will cut some off.

The reason I want to put one next to it is I noticed that if you wrap a branch around the stump it fuses together. So if I can get more at the bottom it would make the base thicker and be better able to handle the weight of future growth.

To start the cutting I put it in some root hormone stuff we got from the store (I will find the jar and write about it later) but no house planter should be without this stuff.
